Summary
One of the purposes of the Safe Routes to School program is to enable and encourage children of all abilities in K-8th grades to walk and bike to school. I am extremely happy to report that we have already accomplished this.
Taos Charter School had its first "Walking School Bus" thanks to Kris Perry, a Kindergarten teacher. She is leading a group of kids to walk to and from Taos Youth and Family Center on "Fun Fridays." Every step counts!See the full content of this document
