If you walk through the garden at Dreamcatcher Bed and Breakfast Inn you'll come upon a little sign, low enough for the eyes of a Daschund, which reads "Bennett Lane." It was made three years ago for a couple who have been coming to the inn since 1998 and were spending their 100th night -- their last names are Bennett and Lane.

As I toured the rest of the garden, it became clear that its grounds are a tribute many guests, whose anonymous gifts perch throughout its surfaces. A small ceramic elf sits in a tiny cave in the face of a volcanic-looking rock. A lizard sculpture has become a fixture on the sundial. A gnome is stationed betwixt the vines of a flowering plant.
