The dog park's future was on the line and on the town's Planning and Zoning Commissioner's meeting agenda this past Wednesday, May 18.

The dog park's proposed location is on property owned by Stray Hearts Animal Shelter. Three area-property owners brought complaints to the commission citing devalued property values, too much noise and that not enough study had been done on drainage coming from the park. Their concern was that urine would flow down the slope towards their property and cause a major sewage problem.
