Summary


A watershed can be said to have a water budget. What we are most familiar with is what comes out and feeds our acequias and aquifers that in turn feed our wells, while what's left over runs farther downstream for other users in other areas.

What is a water budget? It could have to do with our water bills, but that's not where we're going here. A budget is a balance between what comes in and what goes out of something.
