Area racers took several top spots at the annual Frazer Mountain Madness mountain bike race at Taos Ski Valley Sunday (Sept. 23).
More than 80 riders turned out for the weekend, which began with a 5.5-mile, 2,800-foot vertical gain hill climb Saturday (Sept. 29). Eighteen bikers raced from the resort center to the top of Frazer Mountain. The climb record, 54:20 set by former Taos resident Damian Calvert in 2005, was broken by Santa Fean Michael McCalla, who cut more than 412 minutes off the old record to finish at 49:47.See the full content of this document
