It would not be a stretch to say that art is the oxygen of life. And since eight is the atomic number of oxygen, it is fitting that eight Taos artists have pooled their talents to present a collective art exhibit titled, "Artists Off the Rim."

The show opens with a reception Friday (Oct. 12), 5-8 p.m., at the Stables Gallery of the Taos Center for the Arts, 133 Paseo del Pueblo Norte. A special treat at the reception will be music by Taos Chamber Music Group director Nancy Laupheimer on flute and Sally Guenther on cello.
