Summary
I was more than a little intrigued by the My Turn entitled, "For the Soul of the Nation," in the Dec. 3 edition. The writer stated that, "Alarmingly, some Christian "conservatives" have been praying for President Obama. They invoke Psalm 109, but parse their intent as confined to verse 8.
"As a "conservative" Christian, I must say that I have not heard of anyone praying verse 8, with the exception of Mr. Wiley Drake. His use of Psalm 109 in correlation with President Obama has made him even more notorious than his vice presidential candidacy on the American Independent Party's ticket in 2008.See the full content of this document
